The artwork of Rena Masson utilizes material metaphors to explore her personal history and the world around her.  Ms. Masson's artwork tells stories that document her life through sculptures, paintings, and installation pieces.  Born and raised in Northeast Connecticut, Rena Masson works in studios located in Brooklyn, Connecticut and Beverly, Massachusetts.   Ms. Masson graduated from Quinnebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, Connecticut with an Associates Degree in Fine Arts.  She now attends Montserrat College of Art in Beverly Massachusetts and will graduate with her Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a Sculpture Concentration in the Fall of 2011.  Rena Masson's artwork has been shown throughout the Northeast Corner of Connecticut as well as Northeast Massachusetts.  Most recently, Ms. Masson was featured in a group exhibition of outdoor sculptures at Green Meadows Farm in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.  Ms. Masson's goals and interest for other opportunities include , but are not limited to , large scale outdoor installation work, murals, and showing opportunities in the New England area , as well as artist in residency programs.
